Helen Lin
Helen Lin (Lan-Fen Lin) Artist, Teacher, Photographer. Born in 1925 at Changchun, Manchu China.
Helen's arts and crafts are well known in New York area. Since 1985 she has shown and demonstrated her arts and crafts in numerous places including Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Hammond Museum, New York Public Libraries, Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese New Year Festival, Pacific Asian Festival, public schools, universities, senior citizen centers, and many other organizations. She also teaches Chinese and art classes in Chinese schools for over twenty years.
Helen enjoys doing Paper Tearing Arts and Chinese Folk Arts and Crafts. She has brought joy to many people's live and inspired many young hearts! Her beautiful book "Helen Lin's Folk Arts and Crafts" is full of fun and easy projects and patterns that are ready-to-use by kids and art teachers.
She is a member of Asian American Women Artists Alliance (AAWAA), Taiwan Photographer Association, US Manchurian Association, and New York Africa Violet Association.
