I met Helen Lin 10 years ago in 1999 when her work was included in one of AAWAA's exhibition "A Prismatic Mirror". She had shown a beautiful piece of paper collage called 'Deer'. Since then I have come to know Helen as a prolific artist with an enormous ranges of work produced over the years, from Chinese folk art to abstract designs. Our friendship has extended in recent years of many collaborations doing folk art workshops for Chinese Senior Center in Manhattan, Brooklyn local public school students as well as Brooklyn Public Libraries. With the sensibility of a fine artist and the skill of a craftswoman Helen's infinite patience and stamina had brought enthusiasms and joy to people young and old in learning Chinese folk arts. It has been a great pleasure and honor to know Helen lin, a friend and a colleague I can always count on.
